World’s First Cannabis Brand – Launched by The Marley Family

The family of the reggae legend, Bob Marley, has launched what they call – the world’s first global Cannabis brand.

Marley Natural is the name of the brand and they will sell cannabis-infused creams, lubricants, lotions and number of accessories.

Marley Natural is owned and developed by Privateer Holdings, and is based in the state of Washington. The company’s goal is to preserve the memory of Bob Marley’s Jamaican roots, as well as stressing his life and legacy.

The intention is to sell the strains the US at first and maybe worldwide from 2017.

Cedella Marley, Bob Marley’s daughter, believes that her father would greet this move.

“My dad would be so happy to see people understanding the healing power of the herb,” she said.

Privateer Holdings’ chief executive Brendan Kennedy said Marley was “someone who, in many ways, helped start the movement to end cannabis prohibition 50 years ago.

It was just a natural fit between Bob Marley and this product. You know if you were to look for the most famous human being who ever walked the face of the earth related to cannabis, it would be Bob Marley.

The Marley Natural line of cannabis product includes four new cannabis flower strain lines:

  • Marley Green: Appropriate for anytime use, and recommended for people who start smoking cannabis, or simply put beginners. These strains have well-balanced levels of THC that combine the physical relaxation of Indica and the cerebral effects of Sativa.
  • Marley Gold: Suitable for daytime and nighttime use, the Marley Gold is Sativa strain that provides energetic and uplifting effects.
  • Marley Red: Another strain that is appropriate for anytime use, rich in CBD and combined with THC in a beneficial ratio.
  • Marley Black: As dark as the night, these strains are recommended for nighttime use and levels of THC are high. These Indica strains are more appropriate for “cannabis experts” that want a more physical, full-body experience.
